Questions and answers

1. Who can use Livelo?

   Livelo is for everyone, families, singles, young, elderly, short (approx. 140 cm) and tall (approx. 200 cm with the accessory long seat post). Even people with mild physical impairments can enjoy a Livelo greatly as the two front wheels contribute with balance and the electric motor with power. Regardless of who you are, you should be able to get both benefit and pleasure from the bike and find a riding position that suits you. If you are very tall, we can offer an extended seat post, and if you want a slightly more upright sitting position, we also have an adjustable stem.

2. Can Livelon be parked outdoors?

   It is built to withstand the Swedish climate. In general, it can be said that a bicycle that is stored indoors or under weather protection has a longer lifespan than a bicycle that is left outside completely unprotected all year round. Of course, you must take care to maintain the bicycle, i.e. clean it at regular intervals and preferably service it at least once a year so that all moving parts and the chain are greased and oiled.

3. Can I park the Livelon on the street given the risk of theft?

   Most Livelo owners park on the street. There are a number of simple steps you can take to avoid it being stolen.
   • Lock the bike with two locks of the highest security class, where one of the locks is a chain lock that you also attach to a fixed object (bike rack/post). Be sure to thread the locks through the bike frame and rear wheel. DO NOT use the bike's roll bars, front wheel or seatpost to lock in as these are fairly easy to dismantle.
   • ALWAYS remove the battery when parking overnight. When you park outside work, preschool, shop, etc. during the day, make sure the battery lock is locked. We only sell batteries and chargers to customers who can show a receipt with frame number. The "professional thieves" will soon realize this and understand that a stolen Livelo without battery and charger is difficult to sell as vital parts such as battery and charger cannot be bought without further ado.
   • Please park where it is lit and where people are moving, even at night if possible.
   • Via Livelo, you can purchase an excess insurance from Solid. The first 3 months are free and thereafter SEK 249/year. More about the insurance here.

4. How small can children travel as passengers in Livelon?

   If the child can sit by himself (approx. 1 year) Livelo's built-in seat and belts work well. A pillow or folded blanket can be good to sit on so that the child comes up a little and fills out the seat belt. If the child is smaller (6-12 months) a car child seat can be used, but it is very important then that the seat is firmly anchored in the basket without the risk of it moving or falling out in the event of a collision/accident. Of course, the child must be fastened in the protection. Children under 6 months can also ride in a child restraint, but then we recommend that you cycle very slowly and carefully. Such small children do not like shocks and vibrations that can occur at higher speeds.

5. Can I have a dog in the basket?

   Of course you can, many people have their dogs in the basket. Feel free to use a harness for the dog and fasten the leash to the roll bar next to the steering column so that the dog can under no circumstances jump out while traveling. Feel free to put a blanket or pillow in the bottom so that your dog is comfortable.

6. Can you attach a child's saddle or luggage carrier to the back of the Livelon?

   It's going great. There are a multitude of different manufacturers of both pannier racks and children's saddles that fit well on the Livelon. The seat tube area of the triangle and the two upper chainstays are good attachment points. However, be careful not to overload the rear part (max. 15 kg). Ex: Thule Tour Rack and Qibbel rear seat

7. Can winter tires/studded tires be used?

   If you feel the need for studded winter tires, it works great. A tip: start with the rear wheel, it is often enough.

8. Where can the bike be handed in for service?

   You can drop off the bike at any bike workshop you want for normal service regarding lubrication, gears, brakes, etc. If you encounter any problems with the electronics, please contact us.

9. If I buy a bike with home delivery, do I have to fit anything?

   No, the bike is delivered fully assembled including pedals.

10. What should be the air pressure in the tires?

    We recommend 3.5-4.0 bar. This is usually indicated on the tire side. Check the air pressure at regular intervals. Well-inflated tires reduce the risk of punctures and increase comfort and road holding.
